Hi lovelies!! Hope you are having a great day! I am so exited that tomorrow is the last day of the week! This week was short but busy! The April showers have hit H-town and my spring wardrobe is on a slight hold. Luckily, I had this perfect dress to wear with my knee high boots to stay dry and warm without adding bulk. This textured dress, is simple but put together. I love black and white color combo, I added a colored hat to give my outfit a little more. I also pair this dress with strappy, bright sandals when it’s warmer outside. I can’t wait for the hot weather! I am a serious desert rat.

Happy middle of the week friends! We have off on Friday so today is mid week for me! Yay!! I’m super excited for Easter, my Mom always wears a big hat and my fam goes to a nice, fancy restaurant. Dressing for Easter brunch is a lot of fun however it’s different than regular Sunday morning meals. Because it’s a holiday, it automatically calls for a more elaborate outfit, which is so awesome because… I get a new dress! Hooray! I have narrowed down my favorite looks for brunch this year but I have’t settled on one yet. We’ll see what I decided on next Tuesday! Have a great short week and a Happy Easter!
Fellow Houstonians! Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) has recently launched their new series called TUTS Underground. It’s fun and edgy musicals geared toward the more contemporary audience. Next week the theatre will show Murder Ballad, a sexy love triangle, murder mystery, rock opera musical. Sticking with the theme of the show, Zilkha Hall at The Hobby Center for Performing Arts, will be transformed into part of the stage. This intimate 500 seat theatre will serve as a fully functional bar, and will serve guests prior to the show!! Awesome! I wanted to invite my Houston readers to come and experience this new show with two tickets and wine charms courtesy of Theatre Under the Stars and A Fashion Fiend! The show will be Friday April 18th at 8 pm, please be sure you are available. All you have to do is contact me: email, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or comment on this blog post. Winner will be announced on Tax day, April 15th! Open to Houston residents only. Good luck!
Spring events are in filling up my evenings lately like no other. I’ve been so excited about all of the happenings that I had two in one night! It was awesome though, so much fashion and style. My kind of night! The first event was at David Peck’s boutique: Heroes and Handbags event featured the newest clutches and handbags by Houston artist Hanh Tran. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the evening’s sales benefitted Heroes for Children.

My second event of the evening was held at Up restaurant in Highland Village. Presented by Houston Magazine, Men of Style was the theme of the night. We mingled and noshed on tasty apps with local fashionistas and dapper gents. It was the place to be for Houston’s Fashion Elite.

Hiya friends! It’s only Tuesday and I am already for the week to be over! We had testing last week at school so being back on our normal schedule is super lame. I liked spending the whole day with different people (we were split alphabetically), in different classrooms. Made the day less boring. I wore this sweater with my white skinnies on day 2 of testing. We didn’t have to bring our backpacks so I substituted my adorable fringe purse. Big enough for my i.d, pencils and calculator. I don’t know though, something about argyle pattern just makes me feel smarter :) Have a great week my friends!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Saturday marked another amazing spring Fashion show. This time held at my favorite hotel in Scottsdale, The W, and it was the most fashionable backdrop for Project Ethos this year. Project Ethos is a fashion, music, and art event held once a year, bringing together talented artists and designers. Quite a few local brands represented at the show and Phoenix based SouTheory performed after a meet and great at the Living Room. The event was held on the Wet Deck and we mingled with the most fashionable of Az. Stay tuned for this weekend’s Eat, Drink and Be Pretty event during the Scottsdale Culinary Festival.
I love supporting local talent and when we were invited to cover Phoenix Fashion Weeks “Spring into Fashion” event kick off featuring my good friend and stylist, Rochelle York, we were stoked! The show was based on 5 top stylists in Arizona and their outfit picks from local boutiques. The runway show was awesome, of course and spring trends were in abundance. Janee sat front and center as the models strutted each stylists looks down the concrete catwalk. The show was a great way to kick off Phoenix Fashion Weeks 2014 events. Be sure to check with us often as we will keep you posted on all the events and happenings in and around Phoenix and Scottsdale.
Last week I had the opportunity to visit the newest shopping edition to Arizona, Phoenix Premium Outlets! This place was huge! The outlets have so many name brand designers as well awesome department stores. They also had a ton of rest areas with super comfortable chairs and a fireplace o cozy up too, if the weather ever gets that cold! I of course hit up the brand new Starbucks that recently opened for my mid shopping soy latte. We ate lunch outside the food court, it was such a beautiful AZ day! I spent a lot of time in Coach, picking a new bag and DKNY trying on work clothes but the sale at Old Navy was too good to pass up! I made out with some new summer staples for lounging around the pool! I can’t wait until the hot, lazy days!
Wore my Phoenix Premium Outlet super buy, running around over the weekend and a dinner at a friends house on the lake. This Old Navy dress is so so soft and on sale right now! It is perfect for getting in and out of the car then scooting off to a bbq. I’m tempted to to get one in every color, I know I’m going to be living in this dress all summer!

I’m enjoying the warm weather so much lately! It’s been a real treat to have the sun shining and the humidity staying low here in Houston. My outfit today was inspired by the pretty pastels of Easter. I love dying eggs and decorating my house with little white bunnies. My lacy top is perfect for breezy days and I love the feminine flow of long skirts. Hope your week is awesome!
Howdy! I attended my first Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo over spring break after living in H-town for almost 3 years!! I always travel to the West Coast during the spring but this year I stayed home and I am so happy I did! Growing up in Arizona, I rode horses and have even participated in my fair share of rodeos! I am classically trained English but I have always loved the rough style of western riding. Barn friends taught me how to barrel race and calf wrangle. Every spring I would ride in the Gilbert Days Parade and Rodeo. I am so happy I was able to go. Robin Thicke‘s concert was after and a perfect way to end the night! I will definitely be back next year!
