This week I was a featured blogger at the Fall, Fashion and Fiat Networking event hosted by Helfman Fiat and The Brand Elixir. Myself and 5 other Houston Fashion Bloggers talked to guests about cool weather styling and answered questions about trends. I wore an embellished sweatshirt and dressed it up with a cobalt blue skirt and heels. I love this cozy and chic trend that was reinvented this year during NYFW.
We started the evening with lite bites and drinks. A DJ set a high energy vibe as we took in the beautiful artwork crafted by local Houston Artists, I was especially impressed with the work of Elizabeth Cencini. Her romanticized paintings take everyday photos of real people and turns them into timeless works of art. I got a chance to talk with her and asked her what exactly was her artistic style. Elizabeth described her art as ” the way a woman is in love”. Soft lines and carefully balanced hues in each one of her pieces give her work a gentle, easy on the eyes view. I loved her take and understated changes in each of her paintings. She makes subtle changes small areas of the paintings like background and creates a piece of art that will last a lifetime.
The fiats were the stars of the night. Their sleek body and array of features really made these cars a perfect addition to the fashion themed evening. Also on display was a Fiat we were all asked to sign and the Abarth convertible was a crowd favorite. The Gucci model is tribute to how perfectly chic these cars are and obviously, is my favorite.
Thank you to Helfman Fiat and Jennifer Nguyen of The Brand Elixir for including me in this awesome event!
